In May 2019, the Badger Region Board of Directors approved several changes regarding tryouts and commitments designed for the purpose(s) of player retention, budgeting and other logistics, securing and training coaches, to ease the tension of the tryout process, etc.   Badger Region now allows an optional “Retention Period” in early August for clubs to be able to offer a spot in their club for the previous season’s players for the coming season. HVA/Croix Attack's Board voted last year to participate in this program.  Coaches evaluated their teams at the end of last season & submitted to the Board no more than 6 players that should receive Retention Period offers.  Offers are made for a spot, NOT a specific position, on their respective JO teams for the upcoming season.  Positions will be determined by the coaches once they have a full team.  All offers remain confidential until tryouts out of respect for all players.
