JO Season Overview

2024-2025 Croix Attack JO Season Registration

In order to be placed on a team your daughter must be present at tryouts, teams will be selected and communicated via email later that same day. You will have until 7pm on the Monday following tryouts to accept and pay for your spot. Team sizes will vary between 9-12 players based on coach preference.

-15's 8:30am-10:30am (9th grade)
-16's 10:45am-12:45pm (10th grade)
-17/18's Moved to 10:45am-12:45pm (11th/12th grade)

New this year - while we cannot make any guarantees on number of teams until tryouts, we are opening up tryouts for both 17s and 18s.

USAV Junior Age Definition 2024-25 - JO Players

The junior age definition for each age group was adjusted to a start date of July 1 in 2020 (the date had previously been September 1). See Age Definition Chart for specific information.

2024-25 JO Tryout Information

HVA/Croix Attack will NOT be participating in the Badger Region “Retention Period” program for the 2024-2025 season.

Typically there will be one team ranging from 9-12 players at each of the following age levels -

- 11/12s

- 13s

- 14s

- 15s

- 16s

- 17s and/or 17/18s - We will be having a combined 17/18 tryout this season and will determine the number of teams (1 or 2) based on the results of that tryout. There is no guarantee of 2 teams and Croix Attack reserves the right to make changes as needed.

PRE-TRYOUT JO OPEN GYMS 15-18s - FULL!

New this year we will be holding 3 optional open gyms prior to tryouts for 15s-18s. There will be a $10 fee for each session you choose to attend which can be paid with cash (only) the day of the open gym. You MUST bring the completed medical waiver form to the open gym in order to participate. Preregistration required.

Sessions are FULL!! No drop ins will be allowed as we are at capacity.

What you need for tryouts...

Bring the following 2 forms to the tryout - (1) Medical Consent and (2) Concussion Waiver (pages 5&6). No blank copies will be available.
Confirm you received a registration confirmation from SportsEngine.
Confirm you have a Badger Region Tryout Membership ($10) - see link below.
Returning 2023-2024 players - Bring last years player jersey and warmups (sweatshirt and joggers) for sizing. Both jerseys and warmups must be cleared in good condition by Apparel Committee to avoid additional costs.

What to Expect at JO Tryouts

Players should expect the following drills at tryouts:

Passing control
Serve receive
Serving ability
Hitting & setting respective to your specific position
Team play
Attitude & ability to work as a team
Coachability

JO TRYOUT FORMS 2024-2025

JO Players must bring the following 2 forms, completed, with them to the tryout date. There will be NO copies available and players will not be allowed in the gym without the forms.

When you register for tryouts, you will also be required to purchase a USAV Tryout Membership for approx. $10. Players will not be able to participate in tryouts without this membership for the 2024-25 season.

Inclement Weather

Scheduled events will continue unless you have been notified by your coach. If you are not able to attend, please notify your coach. Thank you!

Croix Attack typically cancels practices/events when the Hudson Area School District closes due to weather. However, we ask that parents use their discretion as to the severity of the weather and safety of travel. Please communicate to your coaches if you will miss or be late for practice.

We will monitor and post updates on the website if practices or games are cancelled. If in doubt, contact your coach.
